Recent Tournament ResultsSeveral of our Youth teams have enjoyed success this season at local and out of town tournaments. The U13 Boys L4 team were the finalists in the Ice Breaker Tournament. The U12 Boys L5 Premier 1 team won the Coupe Laval A Division and gold in the Hotspurs Friendship Tournament. The U16 Boys L4 team won Silver in the Coupe Laval A Division. The U11 Boys L5 Div 1 team won the U11 Div 1 pool at the Snakebite Tournament outscoring their opponents 18-0 on their way to gold. Youth House League U5-U13Heat Advisory The soccer sessions are not cancelled due to the heat however children with any health issues such as asthma should exercise caution. Make sure your child arrives at the field well hydrated and brings lots of water. Water breaks should occur every 10 minutes and don't overexert the players. Most importantly - use common sense. Practices and games will not be cancelled if it is raining unless there are thunderstorms in the area. Ontario Soccer Association guidelines require games to be suspended if thunder follows lightning after less than 30 seconds. Due to the localized nature and rapid dissipation of thunder storms, games may only be cancelled at the field. U11 Boys OCFL UpdateThe U11 Boys had a great Futsal season. The boys were split into two teams with a mix of Premier and Div 1 players on each team. The coaches took into consideration the players' skill level and hockey commitments. Both teams received great feedback from the OCFL and opponents about the players' skill and playmaking abilities. The Royals Villains finished the Winter Season in first place with the Royals Gunners close behind them in second. Five players finished in the top 10 in scoring with the top 2 being Eric Conley and Gavin Wilson-Smillie. Coach Dave Faguy hopes that more Royals teams will jump on board with Futsal. He says it has made a huge difference in the boys' skill level. Recent Announcements
