Parmar Futuro Soccer Academy

Introduction

The Ottawa Royals Soccer Club has partnered up with Parmar Sports Training to provide the most passionate and ambitious players in Eastern Ontario the opportunity to be a part of the PARMAR FUTURO SOCCER ACADEMY. All of our players will be officially registered as members of the Ottawa Royals Soccer Club and will play in the EODSA League.

ACADEMY AGE GROUPS FOR GIRLS AND BOYS

In the inaugural year we will be starting with four teams (U10 boys, U11 boys, U10 girls and U11 girls). Each year we will expand our academy by one age group as our U11s graduate to U12. As part of our development philosophy, we believe in providing the highest standard of coaching for our youngest academy players from 5 - 9 years of age so that we can feed players directly into Parmar Futuro Soccer Academy. For our youngest players we have started our Parmar Development League. Our 5 - 9 year olds train twice a week in the summer and have the option of either once or twice a week in the winter.

Tryout times

Parmar Futuro Soccer Academy Tryouts will be held outdoors on the stadium field at the OZ Optics Soccer Facility.

WHY PARMAR SPORTS TRAINING INC.?
We chose to affiliate with Parmar Sports Training Inc. because of four reasons:
1. The Parmar Development Model is in sync with the Royals philosophy to follow the Canadian Soccer Association Long Term Player Development Model with programs that are offered from U4 - Women's and Men's Premier Teams.
2. Parmar Sports Training Inc. has been running development programs for the Ottawa Royals since the inception of the company and has built a great relationship with the club.
3. Parmar Sports Training is dedicated to fundamental skills and technical development which will provide the next level of training to our players. The Ottawa Royals and Parmar Sports Training share a core philosophy with which we are proud to be associated with.

With the long term vision of developing the highest level players possible, we are launching the next phase of Futuro Soccer Academy for the Under 5/6 (2007/06) and Under 7/8 (2005/04) age groups. Our players will participate in a year round age specific program which will allow them to graduate through the Futuro Soccer Academy Development Pathway each year.

Futuro Academy players will be officially registered through the Ottawa Royals Soccer Club as Futuro Soccer Academy is an elite component within the club structure.

The Academy Program from Under 5 - 8 will be broken up into three phases through out the year. The expectation and commitment for each player registering for the academy will be that they participate in the year round program and not just a specific phase. At the same time, we encourage our players to participate in multiple sports in order to get proper athletic development as prescibed by the Canadian Soccer Association Long Term Player Development Plan.

Each player will receive full training apparel that they'll need to wear to each session: 2 adidas socks, 2 adidas shorts, 2 training t-shirts, adidas training jacket (retail value of $127)

In phase 1, the 5/6 and 7/8 Futuro Academy players will train twice a week in the summer from May 16 - August 29.
In phase 2 and 3, the 5/6 Futuro Academy players will train once a week from October - March.
In phase 2 and 3, the 7/8 Futuro Academy players will train twice a week from October - March.
